flake8 software package provides code checker using pep8 and pyflakes, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install flake8
flake8 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the flake8 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep flake8 *
You will get with flake8 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
